Small Talk Creative CIC

Small Talk Creative CIC is the community side of Small Talk. We work with people and partners to make space for conversation, creativity and shared experience.

We collaborate with local people to explore everyday life, shared histories and experiences, and what it feels like to live in a particular place. By paying close attention to the local and specific, we often find stories and ideas that travel much further. The work might take the form of workshops, storytelling or environmental projects, but it always starts with listening.

We believe people know their communities best. Our projects grow from local ideas and are designed to be open, flexible and welcoming, with different ways to take part and no expectation of prior experience. We work in familiar places, with trusted partners, so participation feels human rather than formal.

Small Talk Creative CIC exists for public benefit. We lead on community engagement, access and participation, sometimes alongside professional creative work. The point isn’t polish or production - it’s space for people to come together, talk and explore ideas through creativity.
